Introduction
The Lakers are a basketball team that play out of Los Angles. And with a city that is as loud and wild as LA, the fans of the Lakers are no different. The Lakers fans pride themselves on their loyalty, parades that they throw for the team, of course their participation in the crowd (home and away), and their ability to sell out every home game.
Lakers Home Games
The Lakers fan base are known to get rowdy during their home games. From their loud chants to wild fan participation half time shows. A chant that fans have just came up with was yelling "Who's your daddy" over and over during a recent game with the Denver Nuggets. Of course they have the classic chants like "Lets go offense/defense" or the occasional "MVP, MVP". It seems as if almost every other minute of every game the fans in the stands are on their feet screaming as loud as they can.
The last parade the Lakers had was 2010 and there was a total of 550,000 fans
filling the streets of LA and surrounding the Staples Center. Packed as can be there were fans celebrating with one another, cheering on the players as they drove by on the bus, waving different type of team flags in the air, and some with their own makeshift cardboard signs. Trisha Siqueiros said in an interview with Sportsnet "We only saw them for three minutes, but it was worth every minute." She was probably there for hours and only saw the players for a couple minutes but she did not care, and it was not just her, it was every Lakers fan that was there.

The Lakers are one of the most prolific sports teams of all time so I am sure you can imagine the amount of revenue their fans generate, not only through ticket sales, but merchandise and memorabilia as well. The Lakers lead the NBA in merchandise sales (Helin, 2023). They sell everything from jersey's, PJ's, normal t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats. If you would watch a game on TV it looks like almost everyone has some sort of Lakers gear on.
