F.R.I.E.N.D.S

    One famous sitcom called "F.R.I.E.N.D.S" that started September 22nd, 1994 - May 6th, 2004, lasted ten seasons. This specific show caught many people's attention creating a whole fanbase. One reason why so many people love this show is because they can relate to the characters. It's all based on a close friend group of three guys and three girls with completely different personality's that complement each other.

Main Cast

    

  The show took place in downtown Manhattan on 90 Bedford Street. Since many fans also lived in New York City they kept wanting to see the two main settings in the show which was the cafe called "Central Perk" and the characters apartments. Central Perk is now a real cafe in Boston on 205 Newbury Street. Now almost all fans of the show F.R.I.E.N.D.S go and visit having a coffee of their own on the same couch the cast was on in almost every episode. Fans love the experience of being able to reenact their favorite show and remember certain moments. Fans were so obsessed that in New York City they have a museum for the "Friends Experience" where you can buy tickets for a tour or even just walk around yourself in the main characters apartments. Fans love it because they can be in the one place their favorite characters lived in. Fans tend to take tons of pictures of them reenacting certain moments in the episodes on a certain chair or just in general. So, to fans these are very important and special places they would spend money to go to and even travel to from faraway areas. 

"Central Perk"

     Fans started to make social media fan accounts for all who loved the show. They even started to sell "F.R.I.E.N.D.S" merchandise. You can find fan bases all over Instagram, Reddit, Discord, etc. Fans are so obsessed to the point where they want the same type of furniture, or they dress as the characters for Halloween.

    The cast saw how much of a fanbase they had and realized how people missed "F.R.I.E.N.D.S" so they made a show/documentary of a reunion for the cast which made fans go crazy. Some fans even went to the place it was being held to watch or on TV. They showed special memorable moment from the show which made the fans go wild. Fans were extremely interested especially since the cast was being interviewed about how their experience was on friends as well as seeing them reenact some moments and even watch funny moments from their own show.

    Lastly, all fans of "F.R.I.E.N.D.S" know Matthew Perry who plays the role of Chandler Bing has been addicted to drugs on and off a lot during the show and he even wrote a book about it after the show ended. He was in rough shape and recently at the age of fifty-two sadly had passed. When "F.R.I.E.N.D.S" fans heard this news, they were devastated, and they all say the same thing "F.R.I.E.N.D.S was my comfort show but now it's not the same." Fans even put flowers at the Central Perk light pole since it was a place the cast was always at in the show as well as his grave. It was devastating news for not only the fans but the rest of the cast and the fanbase kept checking to see their reactions on social media. Fans always say now "I'll be there for you" which is part of the famous intro song used for the show.
